Discussion and Meditation

<strong><em>Take the Journey!!!</em></strong> In this 12 session series we will explore our relationship with Self through the lens of the 12 Chakras. Each session will explore one Chakra starting from the 1st all the way to the 12th and will include discussion on a Chakra, corresponding movement to embody and get to know the Chakra in your body, and a Sound Healing practice to build greater Chakra connection.

We will also explore Mudra, Mantra, and Affirmation practices that you can practice on your own. This is a great way to connect with the Chakras and continue to <em>build your relationship of self discovery!! </em>

<strong><em>Seekers will gain</em></strong> a new felt sense of presence in the body, tools to self-regulate the Nervous System, and you will be able to find alignment in your Chakra system - all beneficial towards reducing stress, burnout, anxiety and creating a <em>greater sense of calm, inner love and contentment.</em>

Breathing Meditation (Pranayama)

Start your day with calm and mindfulness. This quiet devotional will focus on bringing your awareness and attention to self -realization: the inner journey from the self, through the self, to the self with practice of gentle slow paced deep breathing (Pranayama) such as Ujjayi, Nodi Shodhana, or Sama Vritti.  Regular practice of Sadhana helps calm the mind, reduces anxiety, eases tension, relaxes the nervous system, boosts lung capacity, generates energy, and cools the body.  Sadhana also supports Santosha, the practice of "complete contentment" and self care.

Kundalini Yoga

In our yoga class, we'll explore movements that affect the colon, which can impact the absorption of nutrients. According to yogic science, your overall health can be influenced by this central aspect in your abdomen. Join us in this exploration of yoga's profound impact on your digestive health and holistic vitality.

Please have 12 oz. of prune juice with you when you begin the set.

Substitutes for pune juice are:

<strong>Fruit Juices:</strong>

Apple juice: Known for its mild laxative effect and high fiber content.

Pear juice: Contains sorbitol, aiding in bowel movements.

Plum juice: Similar properties to prune juice, promoting bowel regularity.

<strong>Herbal Teas:</strong>

Chamomile tea: Has soothing properties for the digestive system.

Peppermint tea: Can help alleviate digestive discomfort.

<strong>Water:</strong>

Staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water is crucial for good digestion.

Hatha Yoga

Mindful Movement with Priyanka merges mindfulness, and movement, into an uplifting yoga practice. This is an authentic yoga practice straight from India blended with mindfulness (for which Priyanka is doing her 3rd certification on a scholarship with the MMTCP programme).

This style of yoga allows the energy/prana to flow freely throughout the body, and allows you to access a deeper level of awareness, self connection and experience a greater sense of clarity and peace.

Focuses on balancing and restoring the energy within the body with the help of different asanas/poses.

As we flow through the practice, we practice in a traditional style incorporating ques to connect with the breath, and body. 

I encourage you to whisper out loud affirmations, that are reaffirming of your essence,

contemplate some of the deeper meanings/reflections of yoga poses, thereby deepening and healing your sense of self gently, without being too intense.

You will reap the benefits within five days of continuous practice for a minimum of 30 mins a day.

Ensure that you cultivate healthy drinking and eating habits along with any meditation from my youtube channel and this will work as one of the best self care you can ever do for you self.

Variations are offered to address challenges. Please let us know if you need special cues. Please practice with care.

Vinyasa Yoga

MONTHLY MOVES: 40-MINUTES 

AUTUMN SESSIONS 

(YOGA with touches of IREST® YOGA NIDRA & BREATH PRACTICE)

 

As Autumn brings back fuller work weeks, darkening days, and cooler weather, give your body and mind a mid-week boost.

 

Let’s awaken the body and mind with intention, nourishing breath practice, and supportive movement. 

We’ll continue to practice a similar sequence for 3-6 weeks, so our bodies and mind can move more easily without needing to think too hard.

 

Ease any stress or strain, and maintain energy, wellbeing, and perhaps a sense of wholeness.

 

By doing a combination of Yoga movements, iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation, and breath practice, you may experience:

 

*enhanced well-being

*better stress management

*relief from physical discomfort

*improved sleep


 

During this short 35-minute practice, you won’t have to talk, although you will have the opportunity to ask questions or give feedback at the beginning and end (5-minute discussion).
