Welcome! My name is Elena. I teach gentle trauma-informed yoga and never get tired of discovering new things about the complex and intelligent system that the human body is. For about 15 years I worked as a professional dance artist in Europe often integrating various somatic practices into my work. When I was recovering from burnout, I started practicing yoga as a way to reconnect with my body and bring the nervous system back to balance. And now, as a fully certified yoga teacher, I'm passionate about sharing this transformative practice with others.

As a trauma-informed teacher, I emphasize the importance of safety, choice, and self-agency when it comes to rebuilding a healthy relationship with the body. I also feel that everyone, not only a survivor of trauma, would benefit from more self-regulation in daily life. I believe in a slow and mindful approach to working with the body and the nervous system. And I enjoy creating a safe and nurturing environment for my students so that they can truly reconnect with themselves!
