I am a 28-year-old 500-RYT Yoga Alliance instructor based in Columbus, Ohio. I received my teacher training through the Yoga On High Teacher Training Institute in Columbus under mentors Marcia Miller and Michele Vinbury. I have studied with notable names in the industry including Kino McGregor, Jason Crandell, Lorin Roche, Dandapani, Ray Long, and David Keil. I hold a focus in Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, Meditation, and Trauma Sensitive yoga while encouraging students that they do not need to be “fixed”. I like to utilize tools such as grounding, creativity, willpower, compassion, communication, intuition, and divine energy as pathways to living a better life. As a teenager and into my early 20’s, I was struggling to find my identity in the modern world while at the same time not falling victim to the rat race of American society. Having never been involved in sports, or any physical activity for that matter, I was tired of constant aches and pains that the stresses of day to day living caused. Not caring if i embarrassed myself, i took the first step into a hot yoga studio after hearing “yoga is good for you.” That’s where the love story began. Today I am inspired by finding a balance between a 5000-year-old lineage of teachings and adopting practices that are suitable for the 21 century.
All my teachings have given me an opportunity to inspire others to be their true authentic self. I do not pretend to be all-knowing or hold the highest wisdom. My offering to this world is my knowledge of what I know to be true for myself so that others might be encouraged to heal and stand in their power. I am not the guru, I am simply the girl who holds a light.
