I have been practicing and studying yoga for the past 20 years. As a young adult I was introduced to yoga, specifically Ashtanga Yoga, at Yoga Works in my hometown of Costa Mesa, California. It is there that I received my 200 hour teaching training certificate from Corepower Yoga. I have been teaching in south Florida for the past 8 years. I started out teaching power yoga, vinyasa and yin yoga. In 2016 I began teaching a daily Mysore program at Ashtanga Yoga Worldwide in Ft. Lauderdale. In addition to teaching my daily mysore program, I also helped to develop and teach the AYW apprentice programs and the Ashtanga University teacher training program. I also teamed up with Amayu yoga, a first of its kind organization based in England, dedicated to educating Ashtanga teachers around power dynamics and consent driven, student centered approaches to the teaching and practice of Ashtanga Yoga.

The teacher student relationship is a lateral partnership in which the student is at the center of the experience. I believe not just in creating safe spaces for students but brave and empowering spaces as well. Each student is a unique individual and I aim to help them create a practice that supports their individuality in a fun and approachable way. The exploration of Pranayama and meditation are important to assist in the deeper discovery of oneself.
