WHAT IT IS
The concept of stretching is taught to many of us starting from an early age, typically in a very rudimentary form. But it’s so much more than bending over to try and touch your toes or reaching up to the ceiling (though variations of both of those can still serve a valuable purpose in a proper stretching routine!).
WHAT TO EXPECT
Stretching can be many things. Static stretching, dynamic stretching; active stretching, passive stretching; and more – there are numerous approaches to and types of stretching, some of which may incorporate elements of other modalities from fitness to yoga and meditation.
In one-on-one classes, your Guide can assess your body and help identify the best approach to stretching for your needs. As with everything VIVAYA, it’s all about meeting you where you are and creating something for you that is as effective as it is engaging.
Recover faster, improve mobility and motility, reduce pain, enhance body awareness and proprioception. Sound good? No matter what your fitness routine, level of experience or current flexibility may be, stretching is for everyone. It counterbalances both strenuous activity and sedentary habits, opening up physical and energetic pathways in our bodies to help keep them supple, limber and healthy.
