Kyla's appreciation for movement is endless. Having studied classical ballet and contemporary dance with American Ballet Theater and The Ailey School, respectively, she has had the opportunity to learn about the body and its complexities from multiple vantage points. She has been teaching dance since 2005 and practicing yoga since 2006; she received her 200-hour yoga certification in 2013 and is a level II Reiki practitioner. Kyla loves teaching and empowering people to gain control, agility, strength, and flexibility in a safe, smart, and magical way with a focus on fluidity in transitions and restoration of the body and mind.
The philosophy of her yoga instruction is to bring people into their own beautiful movement capabilities and to illuminate personal growth beyond the boundaries of what the student believes is possible. Using proper alignment, focused breath, and creative sequencing, Kyla's knowledge of and passion for uplifting, inspiring, and nurturing radiates in her mindful articulation of these ancient and healthy practices.
