About this class

This is a "break it down" yoga class. Each week there will be a different theme and we will explore this theme for all 3 of my weekly classes. This week we will explore and play with Warrior 1. This class will not be a typical yoga flow but more of an exploration of this yoga shape and how we can have some choice in this form so that we can empower our warrior self. We will not be doing a ton of planks or putting lots of load on our wrists (an if we do, I will offer options). All classes are standalone classes AND fun as progressions to keep building upon what you experience. I'm open to feedback and questions and thoughts and requests so come on early or let's chat after class. 

The theme for November is around gratitude, so in each class, we will also explore what gratitude can feel like, in relationship with self and in relationship with others. I will be introducing some concepts of polyvagal theory from my studies with Deb Dana.  

You will focus on

  • Foot positions including ankle mobility
  • Exploring movement of Warrior 1 with breath
  • Do I keep my hips even or not?

How to come prepared

  • Yoga mat
  • Blocks (paper towel rolls work)
  • Towel
  • Resistance Band (optional)
