Qi gong is a gentle form of movement as exercise and is used for mental and spiritual healing. Through coordinated postural movements, the practitioner learns to become mindful of how the body moves through space. It is often correlated with martial arts training and classified as movement meditation. Anyone practicing Qi Gong may expect to use slow, rhythmic breath patterns through fluid motion to achieve a calm state of mind.
