I have been teaching some form of movement for nearly 20 years. It all began in my third year of teaching high school English- the junior varsity men's soccer coach at the school I taught at was retiring...and I excitedly took his place! This was just the beginning of my journey into teaching and coaching: 7 years coaching men's soccer, 2 years coaching women's soccer, 7 years teaching and coaching snowboarding (which I currently still do), and now 1 year teaching yoga and meditation. Yoga especially has changed my life, not just in my personal practice but as a guide. I especially love to teach mindful movement and meditation in an effort to find joy and peace in our lives. Becoming a yoga instructor has been the most beneficial experience of my life, and I am passionate and excited to share that with you! The older I get, the more I understand the world around me. I believe that empathy is the one word everyone should know. I believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. I believe that everyone deserves love. We are all on our own journey and our own path- we just need to take the first step.
