Rosa is a certified yoga teacher, educator, youth mentor, and mindset coach. She teaches biology, anatomy + physiology, and neuroscience, and currently offers weekly pranayama (breathwork) classes on VIVAYA. In-person, she also facilitates deep, intensive breathwork journeys paired with sound healing and plant medicine ceremonies based on Indigenous wisdom. Her yoga practice and spiritual journey has organically developed over the last 10 years. It started while studying and working in Boston, MA, under mounting stress that resulted in anxiety, depression, and low energy. Like many, Rosa discovered the therapeutic effects of yogic movement, breathing techniques, meditation, and other spiritual practices and teachings. She felt a calling to go even deeper and in 2018, she booked a solo flight to India and trained in Rishikesh— the yoga capital of the world. She connected with spiritual teachers and masters that initiated an unexpected transformation and soul revival. The system of yoga has provided Rosa with a multitude of practices that have had a real impact on her well-being; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Over the course of the last decade, her journey has been transformative and empowering, leading to a complete change in lifestyle. Rosa is honored to share what she has learned with the VIVAYA community. Her work is a cultivation of her passion for yogic knowledge, the biological sciences, and her personal work with indigenous plant medicine and wisdom. Rosa shares practices with those seeking honest guidance. She hopes to empower practitioners to expand their awareness, connect to their Divinity and create unity in their lives.
