About this class
Yin Yoga is a challenging but highly empowering practice where the practitioner holds poses for 3-5 minutes, giving the physiology time to respond versus react to the posture and long hold. The intention is to work through the tender areas in which the myofascial system has thickened, thus breaking apart and releasing the tension through breath and conscious intention.
Poses may seem a bit uncomfortable at first, but over time, and with consistent practice, will become easier and more achievable.
Practice with awareness to yourself and modify as needed. The use of bolsters, blocks, straps, and yoga props is highly encouraged and will make the experience more pleasurable.
