Yoga Nidra translates into "Yogic Sleep". It is the Art of Conscious Deep Relaxation. It is a form of meditation and mind-body therapy involving guided relaxation cues to remove blockages (such as muscular tension) to the flow of prana so that you enter the state of consciousness known as Yoga Nidra. From this state, you can visualize the reality you wish to create by stating a powerful Intention (Sankalpa) for your practice. We will begin our guided session with gentle yoga stretches and then lay down and find conscious deep relaxation, or "yogic sleep". This systematic method of inducing complete mental, emotional, and physical relaxation is suitable for all practitioners.
