I discovered yoga 25 years ago at a time in my life when I was experiencing a great deal of turmoil and stress as a young adult. Yoga had a profound, positive and immediate impact on my mood, body and soul. I was hooked right away and haven't looked back since! I took my practice with me as I navigated through several career incarnations in the field of social work and education. I've had the privilege of working with quite a variety of diverse individuals and populations, both in mental health and education. I taught elementary and junior high students Movement and Wellness for about a decade, and it was during my time in the school system that I had the opportunity to obtain my yoga teacher certification at Breathe For Change. I have been teaching yoga classes and working privately with individuals, couples and children for the past 4 years. I teach a fusion of gentle, restorative, and hatha practices, as well as chair yoga for those with limited mobility. I love working with beginners and seeing my students start to experience the same kinds of transformation that I did when starting out on my yoga journey!

I actively engage in and promote self-compassion practices that encourage soul healing, growth and expansion. I truly believe our strength as human beings lies in our vulnerability and sensitivity.
