Amy is a 200 hour certified power yoga instructor. She teaches all levels and age groups. Amy has been practicing yoga since 2004. She found yoga the last year of college, a time of personal and family challenges. She embraced the practice as a means of self-discovery and personal transformation during 2014 after the loss of her loved one. Yoga became the path of discovery, growth, and transformation not just on the mat but in her everyday life. As a former High School English teacher of 17 years in Philadelphia's under-served communities, she found yoga to be the new wave in teaching young adults the value of mindfulness, breath and movement through yoga and writing. Yoga has played a significant part in her life and to share this and be able to guide people through their self-discovery and transformation is enlightening to her. Most importantly, building connection, creating safe spaces and leading impactful classes that can assist someone's mental, physical and spiritual growth is very meaningful to Amy.
