About this class
Learn to go beyond the third limb of Yoga i.e. Asana (physical postures). This class combines 30 minutes of mindful body movements with conscious breathing, thus preparing for the deeper practice of Pranayama (Breathing exercises). Following the mindful body movements, there is about 15 minutes of breath awareness along with gentle breathing exercises making it more conducive for the highest practice of Dhyana (Meditation). This involves sitting comfortably on a chair, mat, or cushion with an erect spine for about 15 minutes using different yogic techniques to lift one's awareness from the body to the mind, and ultimately, to the soul. With perseverence and persistence, higher states of being are within your reach.
Benefits: The life force (Prana) in the body begins to flow freely through mindful body movements and breath, thus allowing the nervous system to relax and rejuvenate. The mind begins to find more stillness through conscious breathing practices. And ultimately, the infinite physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of Meditation can be reaped with persistence, perseverance, and practice.
P.S. If you are new to the practice, allow yourself some time to tap into the benefits. If you persevere with firm determination, infinite freedom awaits you.
