My name is Marit and I am a Dutch yogi and artist. About two years ago I graduated from the art academy, Gerrit Rietveld Academie Amsterdam. And since a few months I am a yoga teacher. I've completed my 200 YTT in Ashtanga Yoga. (Registered with the Yoga Alliance) These two practices, yoga and art, are for me supporting one and other. Where my field of interest in my artistic practice rises questions about behaviour, patterns or relations to object and things. In my practice in teaching yoga I aim to do the same but on a different level. There is no right or wrong way, I m just raising questions to create an awareness. In both practices I invite the other to open up and to get a different perspective on the world we live in.
My Philosophy
With my classes I share a way to stay balanced and grounded. Working on a stronger body to achieve a more calm mind. Which gives time and space to reflect. And hopefully gives a certain perspective on yourself and your surroundings. Inviting the participants to go inwards and find a home within. To show that yoga is for everybody and that it's not about the asana's, the movement. It can be a way of life or it can be a tool to create your own set of rules.
