Have you always wanted to increase your flexibility, reduce stress and/or find more freedom in your body?

This is the class for you!

Gravity Yoga is targeted mobility training that works to open up the body. These classes are slow, deliberate and sometimes uncomfortable as we will hold a series of poses for 2-5min focusing on the breath and relaxtion. There will be some dynamic movement as well. 

Be patient with yourself. Try to stay in the pose for at least 2 minutes but if that isn't in your practice today, come out of the pose and rest in child's pose. You can either stay in child's pose until the next pose or try the pose again at the next minute mark (for example, you come out of the pose at 2 minutes, rest for a minute then rejoin when minute #4 begins).

Get super comfy, light some candles, play soft music, whatever you need to do to help you completely relax!

 

**Please avoid eating 2-3hrs prior to practice (or have a light snack) and avoid taking any pain medication 4hrs before practice. 

**These classes are designed to supplement any other form of exercise- it is suggested that you do these classes after you've done your other form of exercises. If you have to do your exercises after these classes, please wait about 2hrs to do so. 

 

How to come prepared

  • Have any props that you like to use nearby!
  • Yoga Strap or something similar (belt, dish towel etc)
  • 2+ yoga blocks
  • Yoga blanket or other soft cushion
